SIMON HEIJDENS (b. 1978, Netherlands)


Simon Heijdens’ work investigates the relationship between nature and new technologies. He studied experimental film in Berlin, then product and media design at the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands in 2002. He has exhibited extensively, including at the Design Museum, London, the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam, and the Cheongju Biennale, Korea. His work is represented in the permanent collection of MoMA, New York. The Dutch design group Droog selected Moving Wallpaper, one of Heijden’s graduation projects, for its permanent collection.Lightweeds can be seen on the Exhibition Road façade of the V&A between 16.00–07.00.
