Background
00/00/0000 - Storm at Sea is a double bed quilt which I made when I was recovering from a nervous breakdown. I'd been a teacher and had to give up work. I took up quilting as a hobby and found it therapeutic. As I pieced my quilt, I pieced my life back together again. The design of the quilt represents a guiding light shining in the darkness. My family helped me make it. My teenage son helped with the design and my husband and daughter sewed patches of fabric over papers. The quilt was hand-sewn and machine quilted. My favourite part of the quilt is the Prairie Points border. It's now with my daughter in Glasgow and she says it keeps her very warm in winter..
