01/03/2005 - This quilt was one in a series of quilts I made using Medieval Illuminations as design inspirations. It is a traditional Star Quilt with needle turned applique- The Fleur de Lis, Celtic knots and the shape of a pictish symbol stone believed to be Queen Guinevere's surrounding the star. It is machine pieced, hand applique and hand quilted, 78" x 90" , cotton..
