Background

03/01/2009 - I made this quilt for my friend Frances' marriage to Louis. It is hand appliqued and hand quilted. It took me nearly 6 months to make from start to finish and I felt extremely proud when she unfolded it for the first time. It has an embroidered label on the reverse, commemorating the date of their wedding and has a border (not seen in the photo) made from african print fabric, to acknowledge Frances' love of that country..
