Background

08/07/2009 - This quilt is the sixth in a series of fused quilts, where I start with fusing cream linen and silk fabrics to the wadding, then quilt it heavily. That gives me a “blank canvas” on which I can place my collage. My original inspiration was snow covered fields with lakes and marches, with the shapes gradually changing as the series progressed. This quilt was entered at The Festival of Quilts 2009, in the Miniature category and won 1st prize 12”/30cm square .
