Background

30/09/2004 - A visit to Charles Rennie Mackintosh's masterpiece - The Hill House, Helensburgh - and a Mystery Quilt challenge at my local club resulted in the creation of this quilt. The colours within the house and garden together with the architecture and furnishings were just mind-blowing. I decided minimal quilting was required so apart from the corners and the final frame, I quilted "in-the-ditch". I have also found it "goes" in any situation and does not clash with existing decor because it is so different..
