01/08/2007 - This quilt was made for the Open European Championships in 2007 at Waalre in the Netherlands. It's a tribute to the life and struggle of Mandela. His prison number is represented (46664) and his date of birth. The golden ring represents the Peace prize which was awarded to him in 1993. Lots of other elements are worked into the quilt, happy hunting to find them all..
