Escape the stress of Christmas with an evening of relaxing music and creativity. Feel a sense of intense well-being using beautiful colours to embellish the drawings of artist Amy Brown, whilst enjoying live music from award-winning harpist, Ruby Aspinall, and musician, M G Boulter, in the museum’s atmospheric environment.
Amy Brown is an Illustrator, Interior Designer and Mural Artist. Amy founded female driven Art Collective CULT MILK in 2015 and in 2016 co-founded CULT DIY, a female taught series of DIY workshops.
Ruby Aspinall’s harp playing has been described as “Heart melting ” by the Guardian.
She performs as a Soloist, Orchestral musician,and also composes for the harp. She has recorded for Radio 3, The Royal Shakespeare Company, and has appeared in several films playing the harp including “Made of Honour” for Sony Entertainment. Ruby plays regularly in the major London concert venues and this season she made her debut at the Royal Albert Hall playing in the BBC Proms with the Orchestra Chineke!
Her award winning solo harp work “Night Dances” won the Young Composer of Wales Prize,and she is published by Curiad Music.
Ruby is also currently a resident musician for Breath Arts Health Research which focuses on the effect music has on health and well being, based at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London.
M G Boulter is a songwriter and musician who currently lives on the Thames coast. He has released a number of records and has worked alongside many other artists including The Simone Felice Group, Emily Portman’s Coracle Band, The Duke and the King and Blue Rose Code, as well as his long time partners, The Lucky Strikes. He will be joined by long time collaborator Lizzy O’Connor.
