Monkey soft toy, 1900-1910

Many animal toys are realistic representations of animals. Some even use real fur or skin. This rather sad-looking monkey has long jointed arms and a yellow bow around his neck.  It is made from mohair plush and felt. The monkey has lost the distinctive Steiff button on his ear to show who made it.
