This picture is based on the true story of two little girls living near Bradford. The girls took photographs of fairies, which they said were their regular playmates. The photographs became famous, and many people still believe that the girls captured the images of real fairies on that far off summer’s day. This image shows the artist’s own daughter gazing in wonder at the dancing fairies. But fairies are so very hard to see, are they not?
