General Visits
There is currently plenty of availability for free self-guided visits.
School or college groups on a free self-guided visits can explore the Museum's Moving Toys, Creativity and Childhood Galleries (which have been developed to support the National Curriculum). There are also plenty of hands-on activities to enjoy, including rocking horses, dressing up, a train set and the Sensory Pod. On arrival, school or college groups will be met by one of our Activity Assistants, allocated storage, shown the Museum's facilities and given confirmation of a lunchtime slot (if requested).
Spotlight talks
School or college groups can book a free Spotlight talk (term-time, Monday-Friday) at the Information Desk on the day of their visit. The talks include storytelling, games and object handling and are available at the following times; 10.30-11.00, 11.15-11.45 and 12.00-12.30. Spotlight talks are available on a first-come first-served basis on arrival and cannot be booked in advance. Spotlight talks will be available to book in advance from the summer term 2012.
Making a booking
Self-guided visits are free, but must be booked in advance. To make a booking please download and complete the School Bookings Request Form ensuring you read the School Bookings Guidelines before submitting. To make a booking over the telephone, call 020 8983 5205.
