Self-Guided Visits
There is currently plenty of availability for free Self-Guided Visits.
School or college groups on a free Self-Guided Visit can explore the Museum's Moving Toys, Creativity and Childhood Galleries (which have been developed to support the National Curriculum). There are also plenty of hands-on activities to enjoy, including rocking horses, dressing up, a train set and the Sensory Pod. On arrival, groups are met by one of our Activity Assistants, allocated storage, shown the Museum's facilities and given confirmation of a lunchtime slot (if requested).
School or college groups can book a free Spotlight Tour (Monday-Friday) at the Information Desk on the day of their visit. The tours include storytelling, games and object handling and are available at the following times - 10.30-11.00, 11.15-11.45 and 12.00-12.30. Spotlight Tours are only available on a first-come first-served basis on arrival and cannot be booked in advance.
