In 2011, the Museum worked with families with children on the autistic spectrum. The families enjoyed workshops and tours, and told us what type of resources they needed to support their child’s visit. There is a pack for use in the Moving Toys Gallery and another for the Childhood Galleries. They include maps, toys to touch, activity suggestions and ear defenders. PECS symbols and a photo booklet are included to help with communication.

Packs are free, and available to borrow from the Information Desk for up to one hour. Please leave a form of ID e.g. a passport or a driving licence, or a £10 refundable deposit.

Supported by the Big Lottery Fund and the Friends of the V&A.
