Are You Being Served? by Tom Hunter is a photographic project that explores the changing face of East End trade. These situational portraits of local businesses on the main road between Bethnal Green and central Hackney provide us with a fascinating record of the diverse proprietors, their premises and their wares.

Also on display is a playful re-interpretation of the corner shop, created in artist led sessions by local children and adults.

As Napoleon said, 'England is a nation of shopkeepers'. What better way to explore a nation's identity than through its shops?
