Obituary of James Wardrop
View SourceView Source James Wardrop (1905–57) was a librarian with a special interest in Italian Renaissance miniatures, manuscript illumination, calligraphy and typography. He joined the Library of the Victoria & Albert Museum (now the National Art Library) in 1929 as an assistant. In 1936 he became the part-time director of the Gregynog Press, gaining a practical knowledge of typography as an aspect of art. He later became Deputy Keeper of the Library.

Biography of Alexander McQueen
London born and educated, dubbed 'enfant terrible' by the fashion press, Alexander McQueen became one of the youngest designers to achieve the title ‘British Designer of the Year', which he won four times between 1996 and 2003. In 2003 he was awarded a CBE and named 'International Designer of the Year' by the Council of Fashion Designers.
