Sophie Roet is one of Europe's foremost creative woven textile designers and innovators of luxury fabrics. Her original textile pieces are held in collections worldwide including the permanent collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Berlin Technik Museum and the Textile Arts Gallery in New Mexico.

Wallpaper in the Archive of Art & Design

Wallpaper design is represented in the archives by a collection that spans most of the 20th century. The archive of Thomas Acland Fennemore includes a folder of his wallpaper designs and papers relating to the Historical and British Wallpapers exhibition of 1945. There are wallpaper samples by Jacqueline Groag from the 1950s and 1960s as well as a selection of undated designs, press cuttings and tearsheets.

From 19 May 2012 the V&A celebrates the opening of the newly renovated Fashion Galleries with an exhibition of beautiful ballgowns, red carpet evening dresses and catwalk showstoppers.
