Richard Slee
Born in Cumbria in 1946, Richard Slee studied at Carlisle College of Art & Design (1964-65) and the Central School of Art & Design (1965-1970). Graduating with a first in Ceramics, he went on to study for an MA at the Royal College of Art, graduating in 1988. He started teaching at Camberwell College of Arts in 1990, and was awarded a professorship in 1992.
His works are held in collections world-wide, and he has completed major commissions for sculpture at Goodwood. He was awarded the Jerwood Applied Arts prize in 2001.
