These were illustrations on a shortstory by author Neil Baker about a King who shuts down his Town to protect his subjects from the outside world. As the years pass by, the town grows poor and weary, and people's memories of the world's beauty fade....
These drawings are inspired from 17th century dutch paintings, where the ambient austerity of the backgrounds contrasts with the delicate and natural beauty of the subjects on display.
