This piece of work is part of a series of portraits based around the workings of the mind and dreams. The work of Carl Jung and his writings on the subject of repressed emotions, thoughts and feelings, and more specifically their effect upon the human mind is what influenced me to create this image. The use of stipple allowed me to hide imagery deeper within the piece reflecting how the mind represses these emotions, thoughts and feelings yet still they exist underneath the surface of consciousness.
