One time in winter,
I dived quickly in,
Upon great, wet impact,
I wished it were spring.

These images were made during the early stages of a personally driven narrative project. Following a research trip to the Hampstead Heath Ponds, I was struck by the ominous quiet of the water and the amplified presence of nature- the trees were watching me tauntingly as I struggled to adjust to the cold of the water, and the birds that circled were practically jeering. Following the trip I hoped to capture the experience through imagery, wanting to capture the ghostliness as well as the beauty of the location.
