A Festive Challenge

A festive photograph taken from the Lines Bros. archive but does anyone know when and where it was taken? We're assuming that it's a Lines Bros. showroom from the late 60s or early 70s, but if anyone has any more definite ideas, we'd be pleased to know. Think of it as a Guess the Year competition, with the laurels of victory (in the absence of a definitive right answer) going to the most convincing reasons and justification for the answer. We would imagine that the devil is in the detail, and that close inspection of the photograph may be needed!

Thanks for those comments. You've obviously studied the photo carefully - I hadn't even noticed the second dolls house you mentioned. In conjunction with Helen's comments below, it's looking like 1969 might be the best guess for when the photo was taken.

Thanks for that piece of deduction. We had a feeling the clues were there somewhere. Hamleys is a definite possibility, but it somehow feels too small a space for such a large store - I'll need to investigate further.
