The original spelling of our

The original spelling of our great-grandmother's name was Mondloch, attested to in Luxembourg records. At some point after the family settled in the U.S, they began using Mondloh. U.S. land records, death records, obits, grave markers, etc., for the family all use this form. There are also living descendants of her brothers who use Mondloh as their surname. This form is quite rare, and you can be assured that anyone in the U.S. with this name is related to us.

Before I even clicked to see the names I knew I was related. The resemblance to my father Michael L. Schons is uncanny. This is the first Iv'e seen of them. I too am curious about the maiden name but recall my Aunt Anna L. Schons-Wilson mentioning it. (my dads sister)

These are my great grandparents. I am very curious about the spelling of Helen's maiden name and would appreciate any input anyone might have on this.(Is the spelling correct?)
