Construction of sliding 'drawer' sections

Sliding sections cut to follow the contours of the object are secured at top, middle, and bottom levels. These are lined with plastazote, a strong plastic foam of archival quality, around the surfaces that come into contact with the sculpture. A buffer layer of acid-free tissue is placed between this foam and the marble to offer further protection to the delicate surface.
