Anthony Gross (1905-1984)
Museum no. E.50-1968
Anthony Gross was an innovative printmaker. He used a range of printmaking tools to mark the printing plate including a multiple etching needle and a mezzotint rocker. He also employed more unusual items such as the wheel of a cigarette lighter and an ornamental door knob. The variety of marks he achieved is evident in this print.
