More about Art Deco

Apollo Victoria Theatre (formerly New Victoria Cinema)
17 Wilton Road, Victoria London, SW1V 1LL

Architects: E. Wamsley Lewis with W.E. Trent, 1930

This streamlined building was carefully designed to create an overall effect which the architect described as 'ribbed like an old radio'. The ribs originally held neon lighting. Most of the original interior is now lost and it was converted to a Theatre in the 1970s. It has a matching façade on Vauxhall Bridge Road.

Accessible during normal opening hours.
