More about Art Deco

Battersea Power Station
Battersea Park Road, SW8

Architects: Sir Giles Gilbert Scott with Halliday & Agate, 1930-34

Gilbert Scott was greatly inspired by buildings he had seen in America. When first built, Battersea Power Station had one 300ft tower at each end, but the Power Station was later doubled, to create the four towers seen today.

The Power Station is not open to the public but can be viewed from the outside.
