Architect: Cecil Masey and Uren with interiors designed by Theodore Komisarjevsky, 1931

This American-inspired cinema is considered by many to be the most spectacular cinema in Britain. The interiors, including a foyer with columns, a grand staircase, a hall of mirrors and Gothic arcading, were designed by Komisarjevsky, a Russian prince with a background in theatre management and design.
