The end of the decade saw an Art Deco revival. This style of the 1920s and 1930s featured intensely coloured motifs inspired by abstract painting. The fan shapes in the centre of this design resemble thirties modernist decoration. However, the orange and brown scheme marks it as dating from the late 1960s.
