Man's cream
silk suit
Designed by Blades, 1968
T.702 to C-1974
The luxurious figured silk fabric of this suit was made in France.
A cravat is theatrically worn in place of a tie.
Rupert Lycett Green opened his bespoke tailoring business Blades at one
end of Savile Row, the street known for its conservative men's tailors.
Lycett Green was friends with the in-crowd. He aimed to meet the demand
for slim fitting clothes custom made from unusual fabrics. The interior of
the shop was designed by David Mlinaric, also a customer.
