Black check wool suit
Designed by Bernard Wetherill, Savile Row, London, 1966
T.338+A-1984

This suit has four pocket flaps and covered buttons, details which date it to the mid-1960s. It was made for Eric Lucking by Bernard Wetherill at a time when Savile Row tailoring was the ultimate in good taste. Lucking was responsible for window displays at London stores like Liberty's and Hamleys. He wore the suit to press openings and receptions.
