This exhibition explores the relationship between contemporary fashion and global sportswear brands, looking at how the two industries have both inspired and collaborated with each other in recent years. Garments, footwear, photographs and film highlight the way in which these products are worn, collected and customised. With performance sportswear by high fashion designers and highlights from collections by designers who have playfully incorporated the style of sportswear into the catwalk.

Object Focus... Rolling Stones logo

The original artwork of the Rolling Stones lips and tongue logo - one of the world's most instantly recognisable symbols of rock and roll - is now in the V&A collection, thanks to the help of The Art Fund, the UK's leading independent art charity.

Designed by John Pasche in 1970, the pop art design perfectly encapsulated Mick Jagger's sensuous lips and the band's rebelliousness and has been in continuous use by the Rolling Stones ever since.

The artwork will hopefully be on display in 2009.
