| This section identifies the strongest links
between the exhibition and the National Curriculum and provides
some suggestions for activities and tasks. Most emphasis has
been given to History (KS3 Britain 1066-1500) and Art & Design
(KS2+). |

| Gothic; Art for England includes over 300
objects, including huge tapestries, magnificent sculptures,
armour, paintings, tomb effigies, reliquaries, jewellery and
church plate. The passage of time, as well as fire, war and
the Reformation have destroyed many medieval objects making
what survives both rare and extremely valuable as evidence of
this distant and misunderstood period of English history. |
