In the early 1990s a group of Viennese students stumbled across the Lomo Kompakt Automat, the original Lomo camera - made in the former Soviet Union in 1983 and owned by thousands, but little known in the West. Their rediscovery turned the fortunes of the camera which is now almost a cult in itself.
