M&G Ricerche Research Laboratory

This project for a laboratory for M&G Ricerche had
to house areas for both heavy and delicate research, and be adaptable to future shifts in the balance of these requirements. Samyn's solution was to erect
a huge tent sheltering flexibly planned one- and
two-storey laboratory "buildings" and heavy plant.

The membrane structure is not simply an extruded sleeve, but, stretched over a series of gently rising and falling space-frame hoops, tapers at each end
to form a caterpillarish enclosure.
