This white porcelain lidded jar is widely regarded as one of Tomimoto's finest achievements. It has the same softness of form and subtlety of surface texture as the Korean models that he so admired. As well as making one-off artistic works like these, Tomimoto also designed affordable ceramics for everyday use.
