Josiah Wedgwood & Sons, Burslem, Staffordshire

Josiah Wedgwood was one of the leading ceramic manufacturers of the Industrial Revolution. Dresser had a brief connection with the firm from 1866 to 1868. At this time the company (founded 1759) was in the hands of Godfrey Wedgwood, the founder's great-grandson.

A surviving estimate book for 1866-8 shows the range of shapes and abstract organic patterns Dresser made for Wedgwood.
