Weekend Events

In celebration of China Design Now, the V&A will be hosting a series of weekends based on the three cities in the exhibition and its themes. Events and activities are free and will take place throughout the museum.

Shenzhen City Weekend
Saturday 19–Sunday 20 April
11.00-17.00
Help create a visual landscape of Shenzen City through graphic design art, poster making, line drawing and collage/montage making.

Shanghai City Weekend
Saturday 17–Sunday 18 May
11.00–17.00
Take part in Chinese music, fashion and photography workshops, hear talks on design and fashion trends and see films and a Shanghai urban lifestyle catwalk show.

Beijing Weekend
Saturday 28–Sunday 29 June
11.00–17.00

Design your own Beijing architectural structures, take part in storytelling, Mandarin, and Beijing Opera workshops, and see photographic displays of Beijing architecture.
