Chihuly at the V&A 21 June - 21 October 2001

Internationally celebrated Seattle glass artist Dale Chihuly is a by-word for all that is spectacular and exciting in contemporary glass. Much is owed to the grand and historic tradition of Venetian glass, with rich colours and extravagant shapes complemented by organic subtlety and visual and textural refinement. This is the first full-scale exhibition by Chihuly held in Britain, and offers the opportunity to see this extraordinary work as an installation in the splendid setting of the V&A galleries and gardens.
