A
collaborative project with the Wimbledon School of Art, this exhibition
features a series of new, specially created pieces of work by an interdisciplinary
group of contemporary artists and designers that focus on the re-interpretation
of the V&A's collection of Japanese art. It provides insights into the
processes by which contemporary practitioners seek and absorb ideas from
the art of the past to provide a stimulus in the creation of new forms
and ideas.
