 I like this picture because although the photographer was basically trying to capture the motion of the waves - which he did successfully, despite the fact that at the time most of the exposures were still very slow - he has also taken what seems like quite an intimate portrait of a woman on the beach and it makes you sense that feeling of solitude that you get if you're alone on a beach just looking at the sea.
