Scope and content

This series contains those files relating to the administration and policy of the Touring Department, such as the minutes and papers of the various Advisory Panels and Committees serviced by the department, general financial information and policy files. There are also papers relating to dealings with other Arts Councildepartments and regional matters.

There are files relating to specific initiatives such as the Contemporary Music Network and general papers reflecting the department's work with various dance, drama and opera companies and various venues around the country.

Finally it contains all remaining miscellaneous material, such as correspondence and printed ephemera, that was kept for informational purposes.

Many of the records in ACGB/100 relate to information found in the other series of the Touring Department. For instance, there are files concerning marketing and the Contemporary Music Network scheme which supplement the material to be found in series ACGB/101 and ACGB/91.
