This series consists of an artificial grouping made up from the surviving ledgers and account books. It contains a nominal ledger for 1943-1965 and a set of account books which give details of the grants and guarantees given for drama (1968-1882) and literature (1967-1982).

Access to unpublished material less than 30 years old is subject to the written permission of the Arts Council of England. Apply in the first instance to the Archive of Art and Design at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
