This series consists of the files which were kept by the Dance Department on individuals and organisations. Ordinarily these individuals and organisations were Arts Council clients and the files therefore contain papers relating to the funding they received. This is not always the case, however, and some files concern individuals and organisations with whom theArts Council had a non-funding relationship.

For the Dance Department's relationship with and funding of the regions and Regional Arts Associations, see ACGB/25. See ACGB/26 for the minutes and papers of various Committees and Panels (some of which were responsible for decisions relating to client funding). These files are arranged alphabetically by file title, that is alphabetically by the name of the organisation or the first name of the individual.

Access to unpublished material less than 30 years old is subject to the written permission of the Arts Council of England. Apply in the first instance to the Archive of Art and Design at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
