Scope and content

This series incorporates several Drama Department series, including T/CO/MISC, T/CO/MISC/YPT, T/GR and T/MISC. Most of these series consist of large numbers of files on individuals and organisations, that would ordinarily be listed under ACGB/34. However, for the sake of speed, and in order to combat the difficulties arising from the need to maintain their original order, these files have been listed within client funding in alphabetical groupings. The individual files in the series relate to clients supported by, amongst others, the New Applications and Projects Committee. Some files also relate to those who did not receive funding or to those who simply enquired about funding, but did not enter applications.

This series also contains show reports, papers relating to appraisals and miscellaneous other files relating to client funding.

Certain types of funding are not covered by this series. For papers relating to the funding of New Drama and Theatre Writing see ACGB/40, for papers relating to Young People's Theatre see ACGB/39, for funding of Regional Arts Associations see ACGB/44 and for more files on individual companies and theatres see ACGB/34. Finally see ACGB/43 for the minutes and papers of various Committees and Panels (some of which were responsible for decisions relating to client funding).

The items in this series are arranged chronologically and the former reference codes have been noted.

Access to unpublished material less than 30 years old is subject to the written permission of the Arts Council of England. Apply in the first instance to the Archive of Art and Design at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
