This series contains papers relating to the Film, Video and Broadcasting Department's client funding. These papers include; applications, application lists, correspondence, internal memoranda and offer letters. This series also contains production files for some of the projects awarded funding.
Until 1986 the Council's activities in film were managed by the Visual Arts Department and when responsibility for film was transfered to the new Film, Video and Broadcasting Department not all the early papers relating to film were handed over. Therefore papers relating to film can still be found amongst the Visual Arts Department's papers. See ACGB/31 for such papers relating to client funding administration.

Access to unpublished material less than 30 years old is subject to the written permission of the Arts Council of England. Apply in the first instance to the Archive of Art and Design at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
