In 1985/86 a Marketing and Resources Department was formed as part of the Services Division. It took over responsibility for communications, information, marketing and the press office from the Personnel and Administration Department.
In 1991/92 a further restructuring took place and most of the responsibilities of the department were transferred to the new External Relations Department, except for information which formed the Information Department.
Peter Verwey held the position of Marketing Officer and later Senior Marketing Officer in the Arts Council.
This series consists mainly of files relating to marketing and marketing research projects carried out by the Arts Council. These include correspondence, questionnaires, print-outs of results and reports. There are also some papers relating to the administration of the Marketing and Market Research Units including monthly activity reports and office diaries.
