Display: View designs by leading international architects for Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres in the UK, from the first pioneering centre to future builds. 26 February - 8 May 2011.

This will be the first display to comprehensively explore the architecture of the Maggie’s centres which provide welcoming and uplifting spaces for those affected by cancer. The buildings of each of the seven existing centres, designed by architects including Frank Gehry and Zaha Hadid, will be examined through models, drawings, photographs and film. These span the first centre in Edinburgh which opened in 1996, to more recent buildings such as the Stirling Prize winning centre in London by Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners. Six models for future centres, including designs by Wilkinson Eyre and Kisho Kurokawa, will also be on show. The display is co-curated by the V&A and Maggie’s.
