Traditionally known as the 'city of spires', the Danish capital is home to many distinctive and celebrated examples of modern Scandinavian architecture and design. Danish furniture in particular is renowned for its high quality craftsmanship. Acclaimed designers including Arne Jacobsen and Verner Panton created some of the most iconic chair designs of the 20th century. In recent years a flourishing new wave of successful chefs, designers and architects have made Copenhagen one of the most exciting and innovative cities in the world.
