TALK: Dramatic, ambitious and hugely controversial, the Cast Courts provide a valuable record of the taste of a Victorian age. Purpose-built to house an ever growing collection of plaster casts, electrotypes and other reproductive material, these Courts were decorated in sumptuous colours. Join Reena Suleman to look at the fragmentary elements of the original decorative scheme which have been uncovered as part of Museum’s refurbishment project.
