SPECIAL EVENT: Explore the legacy of learning and the museum within a global context. Join Professor Sugata Mitra as he gives the keynote address, followed by a debate with Professor Jonathan Drori.

Professor Sugata Mitra will give a keynote address The Future of Learning on how the web can enable learning on a global scale. He is the instigator of the ‘Hole in the Wall’ (1999) experiment where a computer was embedded in a wall in an Indian slum at Kalkaji, Dehli, and children were allowed to freely use it.

The experiment aimed at proving how children can be taught to use computers without any formal training. Mitra is credited with more than 25 inventions in the area of cognitive science and educational technology. His keynote will be followed by a discussion chaired by ProfessorJonathan Drori.
